Topsoe’s paper “Impact of biomass-coal co-combustion on SCR DeNOx operation” was presented at the Power-Gen Europe 2009 Conference in Cologne, Germany, which is Europe’s largest conference for the power industry, this year with the theme “Meeting the energy challenge”.
The paper discusses how the use of biomass in power plant boilers affects the catalytic NOx emission control – the Selective Catalytic Reduction or SCR DeNOx process. Results are based on experience from a variety of plants in Europe and the USA.
“The best of the best”
The paper was chosen as the winner within the conference track "Coal, Nuclear & Biomass Generation" and received the “prestigious award for outstanding concept, content and presentation during the conference, recognised by the industry as being the ‘best of the best’”.
