Started at Topsoe 2007 Education MSc in Chemistry from the M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, PhD at the Technical University of Denmark. Personal Marina is 29 years old and lives in Copenhagen with her husband.

I started my work here at a two-day workshop where I got to know my colleagues in an informal atmosphere – I really liked that!

Catalysts and characterisation

Here in Research and Development I work on a project related to the improvement of our sulphur absorbents and development of the new products. I supervise the experiments and analyse results. We work in close collaboration with Topsoe’s production plant in Frederikssund, and we also do research to improve the production. I enjoy seeing how the results we achieve in R&D are used in the real world.

Knowledge network

I like working with people – doing things together, and those of us working with sulphur absorbents are a team – including engineers and technicians.

I really appreciate the network I have here at Topsoe. My colleagues are easy to talk to and they are very knowledgeable. That helps a lot when handling assignments. I am also impressed about the structure here – it is not at all hierarchical, and you can talk with everybody.

Living in Copenhagen

Denmark – even the capital Copenhagen – is very relaxed compared to Moscow, and I really like it here. Topsoe also takes good care of the international employees, and there is an international network which organises all kinds of activities – like canoeing in the river and international dinners.
