Hydrogen Plant to the Czech Republic
19-01-2004
Topsoe has been awarded a turnkey contract for the supply of a 6,000 Nm3/h hydrogen plant in the Czech Republic. The client, BorsodChem-MCHZ in Ostrava, already operates a Topsoe hydrogen plant in its aniline production but has a need for expansion of the hydrogen capability. The new plant will be based on Haldor Topsoe Convection Reformer (HTCR) technology and shall be supplied to site as pre-erected modules. In addition to the compact design, the HTCR features production of hydrogen with high-energy efficiency and without export of steam. The start-up will take place mid 2005 and will be the 27th HTCR plant worldwide.
