Topsoe has been awarded a contract for the supply of basic and detailed engineering, equipment, materials and catalyst for a 72,000 Nm3/h REGENOX plant for Repsol Quimica, Spain. The plant is to be installed in Tarragona at the propylene oxide/styrene monomer site and will ensure that the VOC emission from the plant to the atmosphere is reduced drastically when in operation at the end of 2004.

The technology that will be installed is the Topsoe energy efficient regenerative catalytic combustion process, REGENOX. The REGENOX unit will operate without any fuel consumption.
