    Maintenance I&E Planner

    SUMMARY:  The role of the Maintenance I&E Planner is to improve work force productivity and quality through effective planning and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access for all non-emergency maintenance work.

    The Maintenance I&E Plannner also executes the Bayport asset strategy through SAP PM.  This role reports to the I&E Manager.

     

     

    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

     

    1. Ensure Safety is considered in development of every job plan.

     

    1. Co-lead daily planning/scheduling meetings to align with Operations. 

     

    1. Communicate Work Planning Package information to Maintenance Supervisor.

     

    1. Develop Weekly Work Schedule of planned activities.

     

    1. Plan and schedule routine maintenance, upcoming outages, shutdowns and turnaround related work including job scope, job research, detailed job planning, and selection of materials needed.

     

    1. Coordinate with Operations and Engineering to plan and schedule work for shutdowns and confirm equipment readiness for work that can be done independent of a shut down

     

    1. Manage planned backlog and preventive/predictive maintenance (PM) requirements.

     

    1. Build out job plans by detailed “task” levels, actual sequence of work activities, and multiple craft work orders.

     

    1. Identify the need for and types of permits.          

     

    1. Improve planning function by developing standard job plans work standards/procedures.  Ensure job plans are adequate to eliminate defects in equipment or workmanship.

     

    1. Communicate I&E Work Planning information with Mechanical Maintenance Planner.

     

    1. Maintain contact and coordination between maintenance engineering and support, production and other support departments.

     

    1. Update Bill of Materials information for each asset within his/her area of responsibility.

     

    1. Create Purchase Requisitions for planned work to including services and materials.

     

    1. Coordinate with Stores personnel to ensure availability of required parts and with the Sr. Reliability Engineer and Document Control Administrator to determine stock requirements of spare parts and adding parts to equipment BOMs as necessary.

     

    1. Inform I&E Manager of abnormal or critical situations and to seek advice on matters outside the Planner's knowledge or authority.

     

    1. Perform various other duties as assigned.

     

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

     

     

    • Requires 2 years of I&E maintenance planning experience.
    • Requires 5 years of I&E maintenance repair experience.
    • Must be able to research and troubleshoot equipment failures.
    • Must be computer literate including Work and Excel.
    • Knowledge of SAP or other equivalent system preferred.
