Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a Process Engineer for our R&D New Technology & Pilot Engineering team. Our team is responsible for designing, upscaling and delivering investment projects; R&D laboratory test-units, pilot plants and first-of-a kind demo scale plants for internal and external customers. The test-units and pilot plants vary in size and complexity and will typically involve process design like flow sheets, PI diagrams, safety evaluation, mechanical design for pressure vessels and other equipment as well as electrical design and instrumentation. We work with a broad pallet of technologies in Topsoe’s development pipeline, such as Power-to-X, Bio-to-X and Clean air that all are vital parts of the road to decarbonization.
As our new process engineer, you will be participating in a variety of projects developing the process and providing flow sheets (PFD), process and instrumentation diagrams (PID), design basis, risk assessment, ATEX assessment & other process specifications in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary project team and technology experts in R&D.
Your responsibilities

- Process engineering work for customer studies of new technologies
- Deliver process specifications for instrumentation and equipment design
- Risk assessment and plant documentation
- Provide input for control and automation
- Technical support for procurement

What you’ll bring
You have a degree in chemical engineering or equivalent and possess experience from a similar function from the chemical process industry or the oil & gas industry.
You are fluent in both Danish and English, orally as well as in writing.
You thrive in a challenging environment where you often do not know the immediate way forward and have a natural curiosity about new technologies and development. We expect you to be driven, take your responsibility seriously and enjoy collaborating and communicating with both your colleagues in the department but also with our customers both internally and externally.
Why join us
As a Process Engineer in our engineering team, you will have large versatility in your daily work. You will work with many cutting-edge technologies in Topsoe’s portfolio, and you will have a tangible way of bringing the green technologies of the future forward already today. You will be joining a highly knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team with a good and dynamic work environment that will enable you to grow your own knowledge.
