Who we’re looking for
An experienced proposal/process engineer who can lead and execute technical proposal and studies, working in close collaboration with leading technology experts for delivering winning solutions to our customers in various chemicals technologies, including decarbonizing solutions such as blue & green, ammonia, methanol, and hydrogen.
You will be responsible for creating winning solutions in collaboration with all members of the sales team by development of optimal solutions and proposal execution based upon the information received from client and providing critical inputs for proposal layout strategy by checking RFQs/ITBs.
As part of the daily operations, you can execute complex technical proposals and revamp studies including process simulation, heat & mass balances, and basic design of equipment; Coordinate functional issues across other engineering disciplines like mechanical, cost estimation, vendors and contractors during various stages of the proposals and studies and coordinate with licensing manager to get inputs for the commercial quotes.
Your participation in technical and commercial clarifications, your answer to client's questions and comments, and the revision of proposal documentation will be of high importance as well as your contribution to optimization and automation of our workflows.
You will also actively interact with different disciplines to ensure smooth onboarding of new knowledge and make decisions independently, advising and applying expertise to other units and areas.
What you’ll bring
You will bring a sound knowledge of chemicals technologies and business processes along with good track record of executing proposals, studies, and projects. You have personal drive, energy, and a self-motivated character since these are key elements to the success in the role. You will use your networking skills to quickly be able to navigate our organization as you align the proposal strategy with internal stakeholders, and you naturally relate to customers’ needs. With the experience you bring to the table, you can challenge our designs and make sure that we are always offering the optimal solution to our clients.
The desired qualifications and experience for the role are:
- Chemical engineer with minimum 5 years of experience in process design
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in developing process flow diagrams using simulation software
- Hands on experience in process equipment design is a requirement
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with good commercial and fiscal awareness
- Strong collaboration and networking skills
- Experience from operation, start-up, including catalyst considerations and conceptual design will be an advantage
- Working with Licensors and having experience in preparing Proposal and/or Basic Engineering Packages will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of engineering design software such as HTRI, separation process design and similar is an advantage.
