Topsoe, Inc., a Texas corporation and a subsidiary of Topsoe A/S, a company registered and based in Denmark.

We are currently looking for an Account Manager for our Ammonia, Hydrogen, and Methanol business. This position will be located at our office in the Clear Lake City area on the southeast side of Houston. This position is responsible for selling catalyst and technology and provides associated catalyst technical service for this area of our business.

The Account Manager will develop professional relationships with all customers and potential customers. These customers include many levels in the organization including plant manager, engineers, and plant superintendents. The position requires visits to the assigned customers on a frequency consistent with the potential business from the customer. You will need to prepare for these customer visits, conduct the visits, and provide follow-up with minimal supervisor.

You will need to perform timely administrative tasks including sales orders, coordination with the Logistics department, providing budget information, technical sales reports, visit reports and maintenance of customer database.

You will also need to advise customers with catalyst loading, start-up, and other technical services at the customer site. Also prepares sales quotations based on customer's request. The proposals include SAP entry calculations using our in-house developed Kinetic modeling tools and review of the customers terms and conditions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a process engineer in an ammonia, hydrogen, or methanol plant
  • Familiarity with catalytic operations will be beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong presentation skill
  • Proactive and organized
  • Ability to travel in the U.S. and Canada approximately 25% to 30%.
