We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing various accounting functions, including general ledger analysis, project accounting and controlling, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing strong internal control processes and ensuring adherence to internal controls. This position will also assist in tightly scheduled monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

Some of your main job responsibilities will be:

• Conduct balance sheet and income statement analysis to ensure accuracy
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary
• Perform project accounting controlling and analysis, monitor project financials, and provide insights
• Manage the controlling of assets under construction and fixed assets
• Handle fast close month-end duties to ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with audit processes
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting activities
• Support property tax valuations and related accounting tasks
• Manage accounting for income taxes in compliance with applicable regulations
• Take on special projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 8 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS)
• Experience with SAP (General Ledger, Controlling, Project System, Sales, and Purchasing modules) is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Public accounting experience is a plus
