Who we’re looking for
As part of the Clean Fuels segment within Proposals & Studies, we are looking for an experienced chemical engineer who can be the lead and execute technical proposal and studies, working in close collaboration with leading technology experts for delivering winning solutions to our customers in various hydroprocessing technologies. These include Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and/or Renewable Diesel (RD) production, plastic waste circularity, and the emerging e-fuels market.

 

The position is based in our headquarters located in beautiful Ravnholm, Denmark, with good public transport as well as great facilities for commuting by bicycle.

 

Your responsibilities would be:

  • Creating winning technical proposals (conceptual engineering level) in collaboration with all members of the sales team by development of optimal solutions & proposal execution based upon the information received from client
  • Providing critical inputs for proposal layout strategy by checking RFQs/ITBs
  • Executing complex technical proposals and revamp studies including process simulation, process flow diagrams (PFDs), heat & mass balances (H&MBs) and basic design of process equipment
  • Actively interacting with different disciplines to ensure smooth onboarding of new knowledge
  • Making decisions independently, advising and applying expertise to other units and areas
  • Coordinating across other engineering disciplines like catalyst, cost estimation, mechanical, etc. during various stages of proposals and studies
  • Coordinating with licensing manager to get inputs for the commercial quotations
  • Participating in technical & commercial clarifications, answering client's questions and comments, revising of proposal documentation. Driving knowledge-sharing and lessons learnt
  • Contributing to optimization and automation of workflows
  • Mentoring other team members.


What you’ll bring
You will bring a sound knowledge of hydroprocessing technologies and business processes along with good track record of executing proposals, studies and/or projects. You have personal drive, energy and a self-motivated character, since these are key elements to the success in the role. You will use your networking skills to quickly be able to navigate our organization as you align the proposal strategy with internal stakeholders, and you naturally relate to customers’ needs. With the experience you bring to the table, you can challenge our designs and make sure that we are always offering the optimal solution to our clients. 

 

The desired qualifications and experience for the role are:

  • Chemical engineer with minimum 5 years of experience in process design
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with simulation software such as PRO/II, HYSYS, UNISIM or similar, developing process flow diagrams. Experience in hydroprocessing technologies is desired
  • Hands-on experience in process equipment design
  • Candidate must have good interpersonal and communication skills, with good commercial awareness.
  • Strong collaboration and networking skills
  • Working with Licensors and having experience in preparing Proposal and/or Basic Engineering Packages will be an added advantage 
  • Experience from operation/start-up of these units including catalyst considerations and conceptual design will be an added advantage 
  • Knowledge of engineering design software such as HTRI, separation process design and similar will be an added advantage.
