Who we’re looking for
As we expand our activities, we are looking for an engineer for our Power-to-X Test Center in Kgs. Lyngby. You will commission and carry out tests and data analysis on our new and existing equipment in lab- and bench-scale to support our development activities on our proprietary solid oxide electrolysis technology.

In R&D Operations, we configure, own, commission, and run test rigs. You probably have a flexible and adaptable approach as a generalist who knows about utilities and process. You will use your knowledge and experience with electrical, gas, ventilation, cooling, water treatment among other systems to make our state of the art test equipment work in our existing laboratories. Besides the daily operation, you will also be a key person for troubleshooting issues and work closely together with our development projects.

You will have an important role in our test center in Lyngby, bridging the gap between our internal customers in the Power-to-X cell development project and our internal and external suppliers.

What you’ll bring
We often speak Danish in everyday life, but the corporate language is English. It is therefore important that you master both languages orally and in writing. We imagine that you have:

  • An automation, chemical, or marine engineering degree.
  • Familiarity with setting up lab or bench-scale R&D rigs, including understanding of automation and component performance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build good cooperation with other departments and team members.
  • A good understanding of safety procedures and the ability to contribute to a good safety culture.
  • The ability to navigate in a complex organization and work effectively with different stakeholders and teams.
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to solve problems and make decisions based on data and analysis.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strong IT skills and experience with using laboratory equipment and software.

Having worked with the SOEC technology or electrolysis in general is an advantage.

Why join us
In 2025, Topsoe will open the world's first industrial SOEC factory in Herning. The factory will be able to deliver electrolysis technology with an annual capacity of 500MW. You will therefore have a unique opportunity to become part of the organization just as we enter the market, and your work will contribute concretely to the green transition.

As part of the team Performance Testing, you will join a committed group of 12 Technicians and Engineers at our test center. We value a work culture that is based on honesty, trust, and mutual respect. We communicate in an informal way and have a flexible work schedule.
