Topsoe’s Power-to-X unit is a strategic lighthouse on our path to be the leading provider of carbon emission reduction technologies. In Herning, Topsoe will produce electrolyzers that will convert green energy into green fuel. We are now looking for a new colleague to lead the Production Support Team at the SOEC factory in Herning. Our SOEC electrolysis technology will, through its unmatched energy efficiency, play a significant role in the green electrification of the chemical and refinery industry.

Who we’re looking for 
You are either Chemical Engineer or Cand Scient in chemistry, with a degree in Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry or similar discipline and with hands on experience on analytical laboratory instruments. 

 

The factory is in the construction phase, which will give you a chance to be a key person from the start in close collaboration with internal colleagues at Topsoe and project organisation. You will be part of the transfer of analytical methods and be responsible for validation and a deeper understanding of the advanced instruments. You will be trained at the R&D laboratory in Lyngby and at the QC laboratory in Frederikssund. Please expect? some travel days during the first 2 – 3 months of hiring.  

 

  • You are newly graduated in analytical chemistry or have few years’ experiences from an analytical chemistry laboratory
  • You have a practical approach and are not afraid of using tools to fix a broken instrument according to supplier's instructions
  • You have a good understanding of quality and the value of following protocols 
  • You will become responsible for analytical instruments such as ICP-OES, XRD and Karl Fisher
  • You will plan the validation procedure before releasing method in the new laboratory 
  • You will write instructions to the QC methods (in collaboration with the laboratory technicians)
  • Be part of instrument installation and learn the basic maintenance. 

 

What you’ll bring 
You are motivated by being part of the journey, building the laboratory to support the new production in Herning. You are self-motivated and can work under pressure as well as taking decisions quickly. You have effective communication skills both written and spoken. By combining your analytical and technical skills with your knowledge of analytical chemistry, you can always find the compromise between best analysis and a fast answer to help the production forward.
