Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a skilled Technical Manager with a strong understanding of EPC(M) projects to:

 

- Lead technically EPCM client projects in the initiation phase (bidding/tendering and support in contract negotiation) to successfully structure complex projects in the syngas/gas industry but also support our own internal investment projects extending our capacities of catalyst production or adding new production facilities for completely new products, we serve the market with all using the latest technologies. Your role focuses on:

  • scope and battery limit definition (WBS), development of execution plan (PEP), ensure setup of time schedule and risk assessment, strategy how to arrive at required project cost accuracy, budget planning etc.
  • Coordination of technical matters with internal and external stakeholders / partners, and ensuring proper project planning with regards to time, quality, and budget.
  • Identification and mitigation of technical project risks 
  • Supporting contract negotiations with the elaboration of the full set of technical contract attachments being fully integrated in the commercial/legal contract.

 

- Support EPCM projects in the execution phase by:  

  • active identification and mitigation of risks
  • strict adherence of time schedules
  • close control of all associated cost /and budgets.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering, process engineering or similar. 
  • 10+ years of technical EPC project management experience, preferably in syngas/gas industry or related fields. Ideally certified PM as per PMI or IPMA.
  • Demonstrated understanding and capabilities of working with project management processes, strategies, and methods such as WBS, battery limit definition, time scheduling, execution plans etc.
  • Demonstrable ability to mitigate risk and lead successful projects. 
  • Ability to develop strong, engaging relationships that foster partnership and growth.
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills in MS Office, MS Project and/or Primavera, SAP R3 and optional financial modeling/feasibility. 
  • Excellent leadership abilities and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level). 
  • Ability to work with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Willingness for global travelling.
