Who we’re looking for

We are seeking an experienced EPC / EPCM project manager to run an industrialization project in our battery materials business.  We are looking for a skilled leader that enjoys being part of the massively growing battery industry and wants to build the first-of-its-kind production site for an innovative cathode active material. 

 

Location:
Topsoe is an international company with headquarters based in Lyngby, Denmark. Job location is Lyngby, a hybrid model with working partly from an alternative location is also possible. 


Travel will occur as needed approx. 30-60 days a year. 


What you’ll bring

  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy while keeping stakeholders engaged and maintaining buy-in from decision makers 
  • Passion to steer and direct a team of highly specialized people 
  • Curiosity and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Creativity to find alternative solutions 
  • Experience in building production plants for Cathode Active Material or other battery materials is an advantage
  • Solution oriented, efficient, and structured
  • Strong focus on QEHS and work ethics for own team as well as subcontractor teams
  • Experience with standards IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Experience with zero defect strategy, real-time process control and traceability in manufacturing are an advantage

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management or similar
  • Long term experience (10+ years) in execution of complex projects (EP, EPC, EPCM), preferably in the battery materials business 
  • Project Management Certification (PMI / IPMA or similar)
  • Sound commercial and business understanding, experience in contract & claim management
  • Focus on risk & opportunity management throughout the projects, experience in implementing recovery / acceleration programs
  • Focus on building a strong project management team, setting clear goals and directions and empower the team to deliver on time, quality, and budget
  • Excellent communication & negotiations skills
  • Experience in managing multiple subcontractors and complex interfaces
  • Experience in execution of technology projects including hardware and vendor interaction 
  • Technical understanding of inorganic chemical processing business is an advantage
  • Fluent in English
