Job description

As our new Engineer or consultant, you will be part of a global team of highly dedicated and skilled Mechanical engineers and experts responsible for proprietary equipment in Topsoe’s portfolio, such as Waste Heat Boilers, MeOH reactors, Ammonia converters. You will be working with other stakeholders across the organization, hereunder; Job Engineers, Project Managers and Technology Product Managers located across global offices

The focus of our team is to design and develop advanced pressure bearing equipment, exposed to high pressure and high temperatures.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Design and project execution of Basic Mechanical Engineering Design packages for various technologies such as Ammonia, Methanol, Hydrogen, TIGAS etc. in close collaboration with Global Topsoe team.
  • Demonstrate zero harm mindset and ensure that the work is performed maintaining all the safety requirements.
  • Work with traditional mechanical disciplines such as mechanical design, metallic materials, solid mechanics and welding and inspections.
  • Take part in the design, maintenance and development of our proprietary equipment such as convection reformers, ammonia converters, boilers and MeOH reactors.
  • Do calculations, select materials, and prepare technical documentation for procurement.
  • Review supplier drawings and specifications as well as inspection of supplier’s workshops.
  • Attending meetings with clients and vendors.
  • Basic design of mechanical equipment like pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers for process plants.
  • To ensure that work is performed according to the Topsoe’s quality procedures and design rules.
  • Perform inspections of Topsoe Prop. HWs for Quality control.
  • Proactively contribution on the standardization and automation work and contributing to optimization of workflows.
  • Demonstrate Cost reduction mindset towards Topsoe propriety hardware.

 

Qualifications

  • A first-class B. Tech/ M. Tech degree in mechanical engineering from reputed national institutes with a consistently excellent academic record with 4 to 12 years of industry experience.
  • You possess the ability to efficiently complete tasks and meet our customers' deadlines.
  • Knowledge of ASME and other international codes.
  • Knowledge of various fabrication techniques including experience in participating various staged inspections and NDEs.
  • Possess integrity, intelligence, and maturity.
  • Are pro-active, flexible, analytical, and self-motivated.
  • An innovative mind-set to find solution for customer.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Have a desire to work within a multicultural team and challenging environment and willing to travel (national/ international) for site, inspection on short notice.
