Who we’re looking for
An experienced electrical engineer to join our global team of dedicated design engineers and specialists. You will work closely with highly competent engineers in Global Supply, P2X, proposal group and R&D. We complete state of the art design, control and commissioning activities for production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, Renewable Diesel and Plastic Upcycling in industrial facilities worldwide. You should expect an average of 50-100 days of travel and site activities per year. The open position is located at our headquarters in Lyngby, Denmark, within Global Instrumentation in Global Supply Technology Division. Here’s some of the things you can expect to be doing:

  • Project execution of Instrumentation and control Engineering design packages for Topsoe technology plants including Client meetings and on-site activities
  • Preparation, check and review of Instrument and control system datasheets & specifications
  • Sizing and selection of inline instruments such as Control valve, Flow elements and Pressure safety valves using “Conval” and “Engineering base
  • Review and checking of EPC and vendor’s drawings/ datasheet /specifications
  • Selection of Instruments as per Hazardous area classification.
  • Preparation and review of I/O list, Instrument index, hook-up diagrams, Installation diagrams, Termination drawings JB schedule, loop diagram, Cause and effect diagrams
  • Preparation of Complex Loop diagrams, Functional logic and Trip diagrams
  • Participation in technical review meetings such as P&ID review, package reviews, 3D model review
  • Site supervision including on-site modifications for Instrumentation and control
  • Inspection of Instrumentation items, FAT and SAT of control systems
  • Responsible for Interdepartmental, Vendor and Client coordination activities for technical matters
  • Facilitation of zero harm, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned
  • Contributing to optimization of work flows.

What you’ll bring

You have a degree/master’s in Instrumentation /Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of documented experience working within conventional or renewable process technologies. Your experience in commissioning and plant operation is an advantage. 

We are looking for personal drive and self-motivation. The ideal candidate can tick off the following: 

  • Proficient in Instrumentation sizing and selection for Chemical and refinery plants preferably with CONVAL and Engineering base experience. Experience of I&C engineering of Basic, FEED, EPC projects
  • Good experience of purchase, inspection and Installation of Field Instruments such as Control valve, Thermocouples, Flowmeters, Transmitters, Analysers
  • Good knowledge of Control systems architecture
  • Good knowledge of Instrumentation and control standards ISO, API, ISA, IES, CE, NEC codes
  • Have a desire to work within a multicultural team and challenging environment. Willing to travel (national/ international) for site, inspection, and design jobs
  • Thrive on global collaboration and enjoy networking
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
