Who we’re looking for
This is the opportunity to apply for the position as Head of Real Estate & Projects in Global Facility Management. We are looking for a candidate with well-rounded expertise to play a key role in Topsoes international growth. In our pursuit of becoming a global leader we are working in a global setup to align across all our sites in the global organization.

You will lead a team of talented project leaders to support our business. You will collaborate with a wide range of global teams and external partners including landlords, developers, brokers, and advisers to lead and complete new location development as well as renegotiating existing leases.  

What You Will Do: 

  • Collaborate with internal business partner to validate our real estate strategy including lease terminations, consolidations, expansions, renewals and relocations
  • Provide empathetic and clear direction for department employees including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations 
  • Support with disposal and acquisition of real estate assets
  • Evaluate needs along with gathering and analyzing economic, demographic, and other real estate market data to identify and prioritize future key Topsoe markets
  • Work with internal business partners to create business case justification
  • Work closely with CapEx Project managers, design manager and finance teams throughout the lifecycle of a real estate deal from site selection to project completion
  • Actively optimize lease agreements through market benchmarking and proactive renegotiation of priority leases and understand ideal location suitable for development
  • Implement a CAPEX project portfolio management methodology to ensure a comprehensive decision process and to coordinate project evaluation, prioritization, and review through different Topsoe functions
  • Set up the tools to ensure an accurate follow-up of all Capital investment projects
  • Coach CapEx Projects managers and help to ensure a respect of the rules and the governance defined
  • Maintain a culture of a high service level and a proactive behavior to meet stakeholder expectations.

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum of 6 years in international real estate role including project management and development.
  • Experience with contribution to the overall strategic direction and general management of a large organization with the ability to work comfortably and collegially with senior executives and leaders
  • Understanding of commercial real estate appraisals and the methods used to determine market value
  • A collaborative mindset 
  • Team management skills and experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, exercise sound judgement and manage time effectively
