Student Assistant to Corporate Compliance & Governance

In Corp. Compliance & Governance, we are looking for a part-time Student Assistant to join our team and support the company purpose and growth on tasks related primarily to compliance including the continuous development of our global compliance program.

You will become an essential member of a small dynamic team currently consisting of 3 people located at Topsoe’s HQ in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark. As Student Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work and collaborate closely with your colleagues in Compliance and report to the Chief Compliance Officer. The primary mission of the department is to ensure global compliance is defined in our Code of Conduct - whether legally or ethically - when undertaking business activities across the world. Our department forms part of the Global Legal Affairs unit.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform systematic compliance due-diligence on business partners to assess how they meet our high ethical standards on business conduct and report findings to relevant stakeholders within the global organization 
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the compliance program including drafting new policies, increasing the robustness of procedures, and tracking the progress and impact of rolled-out initiatives  
  • Support key activities initiated by the team such as investigations, training, new process launches, and perform analysis on our business processes and conduct.

  • are a strong communicator, especially in writing, with the ability to convey complex material in simplified forms to multiple stakeholders across the global organization
  • are structured, thorough and flexible in your ways of working, and have a strong sense of responsibility
  • have an analytical mindset and approach challenges systematically with an eye for detail
  • are expected to work 15-20 hours per week on average with flexibility during peak periods – the same flexibility will of course be provided for you around the time of your exams. 

Qualifications
We are looking for a student in the second or third year of their bachelor’s or first year of their master’s degree. The ideal candidate has a business-related background with interests broadly spanning from politics, communications, sustainability, human rights, supply chain, and international business.

Experience with the Microsoft Office-suite is essential, particularly the ability to perform data analysis in Excel. In addition, you must speak and write English fluently.
