    Ahmed Bardooli Principal Technical Service Engineer
    Ahmed Bardooli is a Principal Technical Service Engineer at Topsoe, based in the Bahrain office. He joined Topsoe in 2024 and provides technical service support for Topsoe’s catalysts in hydrotreating units across the GCC. Before joining Topsoe, Ahmed spent six years at Bapco Refinery, working in the CDU/VDU, hydrocracker, and lube base oil production units. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University, USA.

    Elena Scaltritti is Chief Commercial Officer of Topsoe. In her role, Elena works closely with customers and partners to help them achieve their decarbonization and emission reduction goals. 

    As a member of Topsoe’s Senior Leadership Team, Elena brings unique insights on new market demands, industry trends and innovative technologies. She is responsible for the company’s commercial offerings across existing and emerging markets around the world.  

    Elena is a member of the World Refining Association’s Conference advisory board and a leading industry voice on decarbonization of energy-intensive industries and long-distance transportation, with a special focus on sustainable aviation fuels to decarbonize aviation.  

    Before joining Topsoe in 2022, Elena served as Executive Vice President at SONGWON Industrial Group, where she was responsible for global commercial activities. She also held leadership roles with BASF, Cipa Specialty Chemicals and Nalco Holding Company. 

    Elena earned a B.S. in organic chemistry from the University of Milan and an M.B.A. from the POLIMI School of Management in Milan.

    Mikala Grubb Senior Vice President, Clean Fuels and Chemicals Technologies

    Mikala Grubb is Senior Vice President, Clean Fuels and Chemicals Technologies at Topsoe. She holds an MSc and a PhD in Chemistry from the Technical University of Denmark. She joined Topsoe in 2007 and has worked in several areas, including Research & Development, Business Development, Licensing, and Strategic Marketing, all focused on improving Topsoe’s hydroprocessing processes and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. mikg@topsoe.com
