    Senior Category Manager

    Location Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark
    Job Category Purchasing & Procurement
    Deadline May 04, 2026

    The role and impact
In this role, you will be responsible for a portfolio of strategically important raw material categories that are critical to Topsoe’s production. You will lead the category agenda across sourcing, supplier management, cost development, and supply security. The role requires a strong understanding of global raw material markets and the ability to translate market developments into effective procurement strategies.

A key part of the role is to secure stable supply through strong contractual frameworks, active supplier management, and continuous market analysis. You will proactively identify risks related to tariffs, export controls, and supply disruptions and translate these insights into concrete mitigation actions, including supplier diversification and alternative sourcing solutions. You take ownership of your categories and drive initiatives forward with a clear focus on outcomes.

You will work closely with your internal stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of their business strategies and providing relevant insights from the supply and supplier market perspective.

    What you’ll bring

You bring solid experience with global sourcing of chemicals, metals, or commodities and have worked with category management in an international procurement environment. You have a strong commercial mindset, excellent engagement skills throughout the organization and strong experience driving cost reductions through sourcing and negotiation activities. You combine good commercial and financial understanding with technical insight into raw materials and chemicals. You are fluent in English and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, but most importantly, you bring relevant experience, whether your background is more commercially or engineering focused. You have in-depth knowledge of procurement and global sourcing and can document results from similar roles.
