Topsoe A/S succesfully issues green hybrid securities

Topsoe A/S has today successfully priced its new EUR 200 million callable subordinated green hybrid securities with a coupon of 6.75% p.a. and a first call date in 2029. The transaction is expected to settle on 23rd May 2024.

Topsoe has raised the green hybrid securities in accordance with its Green Finance Framework to support the financing of its state-of-the-art facilities to manufacture SOEC electrolyzers, the development of technologies and solutions to produce fuels for net zero emissions and the realization of Topsoe’s ambition to become net-zero across its value chain by 2040.

“Topsoe is determined to demonstrate leadership in technologies and solutions for carbon emission reductions. For the energy transition to happen at the needed pace and scale, partnerships must be formed, and significant investments must be made. We are very pleased with the strong support from our investors as this will allow us to accelerate our essential contribution to the formation of strong markets for e-fuels, low-carbon fuels and renewable fuels”, says Allan Bødskov Andersen, Chief Financial Officer at Topsoe.

The green hybrid securities are intended to be listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen A/S’ regulated market (under the Sustainable Debt segment) no later than 9 months after issuance.

Nordea Bank Abp (“Nordea”) and Danske Bank A/S (“Danske Bank”) acted as Joint Bookrunners for the green hybrid securities, with Nordea also acting as Structurer & Coordinator and Danske Bank as Green Structuring Advisor.
