A copper based absorbent used for remove minute amounts of sulfur compounds.
The copper based ST-201 absorbent is used for removing traces of sulfur compounds from different feedstocks.
The high copper content of the ST-201 absorbent ensures that it will be able to completely remove any sulphur compound for an extended period of time. This is result in an added protection of downstream catalysts resulting in improved efficiency of the industrial plant.
Sulfur is the most common feedstock poison, and protection of downstream catalysts requires its removal to ppb levels. Hydrogenation to H2S and then absorption can remove much sulfur, but an effective guard like the ST-201 is often needed for complete purification.
