Head of Global Quality and Audit

    Location Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark
    Job Category Quality Management
    Deadline August 15, 2026

    Role and impact:

As Head of Global Quality & Audit, you will be at the heart of Topsoe’s global quality transformation. Quality is a top priority for Topsoe and has strong visibility and attention at the highest levels of the company, including from the CEO. In this role, you will lead a team of around ten quality auditors and specialists, with a strong focus on hands-on improvement and operational impact.

    Your responsibilities include:

    • Ensuring product quality and managing the quality management system across all production sites - including catalyst manufacturing, SOEC stack manufacturing and Technology projects
    • Overseeing laboratory operations and calibration/metrology governance, ensuring data integrity and compliance
    • Leading supplier qualification, supplier audit programmes, and incoming goods quality control, in close partnership with Procurement
    • Running internal audits and integrating ESG-linked supplier assurance into the audit cadence
    • Coaching plant teams and building capability on the shop floor – being present and visible
    • Fronting customer audits, quality reviews, and complaint handling with major customers

This is a transformation role: you will build and elevate quality standards, with visible, sustained results. Regular on-site presence and close collaboration with plant managers, process engineers, and scientists are essential. Your approach will be collaborative and coaching-focused, creating allyship across the organisation.

    What you will bring:

You bring a strong background in process-chemical manufacturing, ideally with experience in catalyst, specialty/fine chemical, refining, fertilizer, petrochemical, or pharma API environments. You have owned QA/QC and audit at site or business-unit level, with multi-site and cross-cultural leadership experience across Europe, North America, and Asia.

Your track record includes building or rebuilding quality functions with measurable outcomes - such as audit findings closed, complaints reduced, certifications gained, and improved customer scorecards. You are comfortable holding product release authority, leading supplier audit programmes, and collaborating closely with Procurement. You have governed operational laboratories and calibration/metrology systems, understand data integrity and traceability, and possess technical literacy in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science.

You are fluent in English, with Danish as a plus, and bring hands-on team leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills. Humility, curiosity, and a visible presence on the shop floor are essential, as is the ability to coach and build allyship rather than dictate from a corporate desk.

    Why join us:

Joining Topsoe means stepping into a transformation mandate with global impact. You will have the opportunity to shape quality standards across a diverse manufacturing and technology landscape in a company where quality is a strategic priority and receives strong executive attention.

We offer a collaborative, inclusive culture where your technical expertise and leadership will be valued, and where you can drive meaningful change that is visible across the organisation. You will work with talented colleagues in an informal, supportive environment, and have access to professional development, growth opportunities, and the chance to make a real difference in the energy transition. Our commitment to safety, innovation, and sustainability ensures your work will contribute to a cleaner, more resilient future.

    Your new team:

You will lead a focused team of approximately ten global quality auditors and specialists, collaborating closely with site quality leaders, plant managers, process engineers, scientists, and procurement professionals across Topsoe’s global footprint. The team is committed to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and building strong partnerships across the business. You will also engage with engineering and project leadership in the Technology business, ensuring quality standards are upheld in every deliverable and customer interaction.

    How you can apply:
If you would like to be part of a team of skilled and professional colleagues in an informal organization, please submit your documents in English.

Please contact Global head of HSSEQ, VP, Michael Box, email MBOX@topsoe.com if you want to know more about the position.

    Application deadline: 15-08-2026.

You do not need to attach a cover letter to your application – just include a few sentences in your CV explaining why you are applying. Please also avoid the use of photos in your CV. Both of these measures are to ensure a fair and unbiased process.

We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, irrespective of their gender, age, religion, disability, ethnic background, and geographical location. We encourage individuals from diverse cultures and countries to apply and contribute to our global team.

To ensure a secure and trustworthy work environment, our recruitment process may include background checks, requests for criminal records, and contact with references.

To headhunters: Thank you for your interest in our company. However, we would like to inform you that we have a dedicated internal team managing our recruitment process.
