    Raw materials Planner and Purchaser

    Location Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark
    Job Category Production
    Deadline October 04, 2026

    Role and impact:

As a Raw Materials Planner and Purchaser, you will play an important role in ensuring the reliable flow of raw materials, components, and services needed to support production and operational continuity. Your focus will be operational material planning and purchasing, including placing and following up on day-to-day orders.

You will coordinate between supply planning, procurement execution, production requirements, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Your work will contribute to effective inventory management, supply-chain resilience, and reliable production schedules.

You will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials to support production plans and maintain operational continuity. This includes coordinating closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, managing inventory levels, and balancing supply requirements with cost, lead times, and stock objectives.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Planning raw material requirements based on production schedules and supply plans
    • Creating, monitoring, and following up on purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
    • Proactively identifying and escalating potential material shortages or supply risks
    • Optimizing inventory levels while balancing supplier lead times, cost efficiency, and production needs
    • Coordinating with suppliers on delivery schedules, quantities, and issue resolution
    • Maintaining and updating planning parameters within the ERP/MRP system
    • Collaborating cross-functionally with production, procurement, logistics, and suppliers to resolve operational and supply-related challenges
    • Supporting continuous improvement of planning and material management processes

    What you will bring:

You have practical experience in planning, purchasing, supply chain, or operations coordination, ideally from a manufacturing or process-industry environment. You understand procurement and planning processes, inventory management, and supplier coordination. Familiarity with lead times, bill-of-materials (BOM) structures, and supply-planning processes is essential. You work in a structured and detail-oriented way and can prioritize tasks effectively in a changing environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

    • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience is an advantage
    • Ability to work with Excel and operational data
    • Effective stakeholder-management and communication skills
    • Ability to analyse planning data and make sound decisions
    • Fluency in Danish and English
