Topsoe Hydroprocessing Course 2026

Refinery engineers working with hydroprocessing catalysts/processes, and experienced engineers wanting a refresher. The course also offers time to discuss site-specific technical/operational issues with Topsoe experts.

Led by experienced Topsoe specialists, the course covers key hydroprocessing topics such as hydroprocessing reactions, reaction kinetics and feedstock dependency, catalyst preparation and selection, and the impact of operating conditions to optimize performance. It also addresses hydrotreater and hydrocracker layout, catalyst loading and activation, monitoring and troubleshooting, pressure drop control, and developments within renewable fuels and dewaxing. In addition to the 3 full-day course schedule, the course is concluded on Day 4 with a practical option: either a visit to Topsoe’s R&D facilities or a workshop on troubleshooting and emergency handling in hydroprocessing units. The program also includes a “Renewable Afternoon” introducing renewable feed processing and unit revamps for renewable fuels. The program is preliminary and may change slightly; a detailed agenda will be shared closer to the course.
