Topsoe Makes it to prestigious list of most sustainable companies

•    Topsoe makes it to Corporate Knights inaugural Global 25 Most Sustainable Private Corporations in the World.

Topsoe, a leading global provider of advanced technology and solutions for the energy transition, has made it to Corporate Knights’ inaugural list of Global 25 Most Sustainable Private Corporations in the World.
The list ranks privately held companies with revenue above $1 billion and disclosed greenhouse gas emissions. Topsoe came in as no. 18 in the inaugural edition of the list.

Corporate Knights based their assessments on company’s 2023 achievements within categories such as the share of revenue from and investments in technologies and solutions for the energy transition as well as several other categories.

Topsoe has grown its revenue from businesses related to technologies and solutions that enable the production of low-carbon, renewable fuels, and e-fuels from 6% in 2020 to 23% in 2024. Additionally, a major share of Topsoe’s yearly investments goes into R&D and in 2024 alone, the company’s R&D spending totaled DKK 745 million of which the vast majority is earmarked for energy transitional technologies.
Topsoe has also set ambitious targets for its own sustainability commitments with 2040 net zero targets across scope 1, 2 and 3 approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2023. Topsoe’s sustainability initiatives have been recognized by independent agencies and international media. The company recently earned a gold-rating by EcoVadis for its ESG performance. In 2024, Topsoe CEO Roeland Baan made it to Forbes’ prestigious list of 50 ‘Sustainability Leaders’ announced in September 2024.
