CataFlex™ is a patent-pending catalyst-coated filter bag designed to treat off-gasses in high-dust environments found in a wide range of industries and activities.
How CataFlex™ works
CataFlex™ is unique in that each bag consists of one to three layers of woven fiberglass. Each layer features its own unique catalytic formula, enabling a single bag to remove dust and multiple gaseous compounds in a one step – eliminating the need for costly, space-demanding tail-end gas removal equipment.
In addition to their multi-compound capabilities, CataFlex™ filter bags are effective at temperatures as low as 180°C. Combined, these advantages can help you reduce capital expenditures by up to 80% compared to competing solutions.
Broad spectrum of regulated pollutants
Built on decades of leadership in filtration and catalysis, CataFlex™ turns yesterday’s ordinary filter bag in to a powerful dust filtration plus gaseous emissions control system.
CataFlex™ filter bags also ensure compliance with limits on dioxins, by transforming more than 90% of these into harmless compounds.
The outer layer of an CataFlex™ filter bag is similar to a PTFE membrane, enabling compliance with the same low emission standards. Since the pressure drop across an CataFlex™ bag is close to that across conventional filter bags, you don’t need to invest in ID fans, compressed air or similar technologies.
CataFlex™ uses selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to remove NOx from off-gas, either by utilizing ammonia contained in the off-gas or via ammonia injection. The NOx is converted to harmless nitrogen and water.
