Achieve up to 99% N2O reduction with TertiNOx™

Reducing N2O emissions from nitric acid and caprolactam units is one of the most cost-effective ways to cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Topsoe’s tertiary solution uses TertiNOx™ catalysts to reduce N2O emissions by up to 99% while delivering strong NOx removal to support compliance with NOx regulations.

Installed in the tail gas downstream of the adsorption tower, TertiNOx™ helps unlock significant value from reduced CO2 emissions, while improving day-to-day operations.

    Key benefits include:

    • Low pressure drop.

    • Combined N2O and NOx removal.

    • Higher production throughput.

    • Increased steam production.

    • Higher expander duty.

TertiNOx™ is based on a monolith catalyst design. Many competing tertiary solutions rely on pellet catalysts, which often require more complex reactor designs to manage pressure drop.

With Topsoe’s monolith technology, the system stays simple and compact. You can install the monolith in an existing reactor or reduce footprint with a smaller reactor design without compromising performance.

Together, we help you cut emissions, simplify operations and capture more value from every ton produced.

    Request Safety Data Sheet (SDS)

Safety Data Sheets (SDS) also previous known as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are documents providing health and safety information on the handling of chemical products. These documents are only available for Topsoe catalysts on request and can be requested in the form below.
