Adam Kadhim holds an MSc in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and has later in his career supplemented it with a GDBA in International Business & Economics from Copenhagen Business School. His background includes expertise in catalyst and process engineering, with a focus on hydrogen, syngas, ammonia, methanol, and gas-to-liquids. Adam’s professional experience spans managerial roles in catalyst product management, technology licensing sales, and business development for large Power-to-X projects. Currently, as Product Line Director at Topsoe, he has global responsibility for the Chemicals Business. adsk@topsoe.com

Kim Hedegaard is Chief Executive Officer of Power-to-X (PtX), Topsoe’s industry-leading solution that converts renewable energy into e-fuels for customers. He is responsible for PtX strategy, commercialization, technology development and production, and is a member of the company’s Senior Management Team. 

Kim leads the team executing Topsoe’s trailblazing work to scale the innovative Solide Oxide Electrolyzer Cell (SOEC) technology and PtX solutions to produce green hydrogen, ammonia and other e-fuels. He works closely with customers, industry partners and policy makers to help develop and scale this breakthrough technology to drive the energy transition forward.   

As of January 1, 2025, Kim took over the co-chairmanship role of the Renewable Hydrogen Coalition, a leading European platform promoting the critical role of renewable hydrogen in delivering the EU's long-term decarbonization goals. The coalition brings together a high-level, interdisciplinary network of start-ups, investors, entrepreneurs, innovative companies, and industrial off-takers, all dedicated to making Europe the global leader in renewable hydrogen solutions.

He serves as a board member at FlexHospital and AmCham Denmark. 

Kim joined Topsoe in 1999 and has more than 25 years of experience in engineering, business management and sales. Prior to his current role, he served as Topsoe’s Chief Operating Officer and was in charge of Global Supply. 

Kim earned an M.S. in chemical engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.  

Mikala Grubb is Senior Vice President, Clean Fuels and Chemicals Technologies at Topsoe. She holds an MSc and a PhD in Chemistry from the Technical University of Denmark. She joined Topsoe in 2007 and has worked in several areas, including Research & Development, Business Development, Licensing, and Strategic Marketing, all focused on improving Topsoe’s hydroprocessing processes and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. mikg@topsoe.com

Roeland Baan joined Topsoe as President and CEO in 2020 with a clear focus on establishing the company as a leader in technologies and solutions for the energy transition. He is leading the company’s nearly 3,000 employees across a dozen countries in rewriting the future of fuels production.

Roeland engages in dialogues and forums with other key opinion leaders to identify and deploy solutions that enable the global energy transition. He often shares his perspectives on matters ranging from decarbonization of energy-intensive industries to electrolyzer capacity, new technologies that support carbon emission reductions, and the challenges and regulatory frameworks needed to achieve a fair and inclusive green energy transition.   

Roeland has more than 40 years of experience developing businesses, supporting customer relationships, driving growth, building cohesive organizations and amassing deep operational and strategic knowledge across the energy, fuel and steel industries. Prior to joining Topsoe, he was President and CEO of Outokumpu, a producer of stainless steel, and before that CEO of rolled and extruded products at aluminum manufacturer Aleris. Roeland also held leadership positions at Arcelor Mittal, SHV NV and Shell.   

He serves as Chairman of SBM Offshore NV and is member of the Syensqo Board of Directors and the Hydrogen Council Board.  

Roeland earned a M.S. in economics from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam.
