Rob Stevens is the Sector Lead Green Fuels of Power-to-X at Topsoe, a leading climate tech and engineering company that helps customers decarbonize. In his role, he is the go-to thought leader, driving market development of the cutting-edge Power-to-X technology, which converts renewable energy sources into fuels and chemicals. Rob has been educated as chemical engineer with a biotechnological focus and has a PhD in applied thermodynamics from Delft University of Technology. Before joining Topsoe in 2023, Rob had a role as technology opportunities expert at SagaPure, a green financing start-up, evaluating climate technologies, leading to a board membership at Horisont Energi, a clean ammonia and CO2 storage start-up. The two decades before Rob was with Yara International, holding several ammonia production management roles, leading to Vice President roles in Technology Scouting, Decarbonization and Clean Ammonia Shipping Fuel at the corporate head quarter. Rob contributed to several international clean ammonia energy papers and shipping fuel studies. Aside from his work at Topsoe, Rob is VP Past-President (after 2 years presidency) of the Ammonia Energy Association and Director Clean Ammonia Innovation at the Institute of Sustainable Process Technology. rmms@topsoe.com
