Topsoe wins Catalyst Producer of the Year at ERTC 2025

Topsoe was named Catalyst Producer of the Year at the ERTC Industry Awards 2025 in Cannes. It marks the second time in three years that Topsoe has earned this prestigious recognition from the ERTC expert panel, under the auspices of the World Refining Association. The award celebrates achievements that have helped advance catalysis in the refining industry over the past year.

A distinguished panel of 16 industry experts evaluated and selected the winners, recognizing Topsoe's exceptional year of innovation. Two recently launched breakthrough catalyst series  the third-generation SiliconTrap™ catalysts and the HDO Catalysts for Renewable Feedstocks were central to the evaluation.

The SiliconTrap™ family – including TK-461, TK-467, and TK-343 – represents a leap forward in silicon removal from both fossil and renewable streams. TK-461 and TK-467 excel in coker naphtha applications, with TK-461 delivering outstanding HDS and HDN activity, while TK-467 provides superior front-end silicon capture. The TK-343 extends these benefits to renewable feedstocks, using high-purity alumina design for enhanced adsorption efficiency and operational flexibility.

The TK-3000 Series for renewable feedstocks, featuring TK-3000 PhosTrap™, achieves 25–30% longer cycle life with improved HDO selectivity and yield. The PhosTrap™ technology captures four to six times more phosphorus than previous guard catalysts, while the series includes high-performance dewaxing catalysts to meet demanding specifications.
