Senior Process Designer

The role and impact

• Being accountable for timely execution of drafting tasks in project execution – from PID preparation plan to final revision issued to client.
• Checking and improvements in key areas of drafting PFDs, MSDs, PIDs and EQDs.
• Day-to-day coordination with Process engineers, drafting team, Supervisor and other disciplines on resolving issues on projects.
• Meet commitment for drafting tasks with required quality and set direction for improvements.
• Cross-functional collaboration during project execution.
• Contributing to optimization of workflows and development activities.
• Facilitation of knowledge sharing and lessons learned.
• Aware of contractual deadlines and delivery schedule and can make a plan to deliver on time and within manhour budget. 
  
  

What you’ll bring

A Diploma or ITI in Mechanical. Preferably you have a good sound experience of leading the project, and it is an advantage if you have experience in execution of different technology area namely hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, refinery.

What competencies do we require

We are looking for a person with high drive and self-motivation. The ideal candidate should have

• Strong experience in process drafting.
• Hands-on proficiency in Smart Plant P&ID (SPPID), AutoCAD and exposure to Engineering Base would be an added advantage.
• Prepare, update, and check PFD/MSD/P&ID/EQD deliverables in line with project standards, symbology, tagging conventions, and revision control.
• Ensure high-quality drawings through strong self-check/peer-check practices and cross-document consistency (PFD ↔ MSD ↔ P&ID ↔ EQD).
• Deliver assigned work on time and within manhour budget by planning activities, estimating effort, and flagging risks/constraints early.
• Coordinate and close check/review comments; incorporate mark-ups efficiently with clear revision history.
• Meet the objectives and goals of the group – set in corporation with the Supervisor.
• Be actively involved in mission, strategy and kaizen in the group.
• Collaborate effectively with Process and Instrumentation disciplines to resolve interfaces and avoid rework.
• Communicate progress and issues clearly to stakeholders; take a proactive approach to drive inputs, alignment, and decisions.
• Preferably take a lead role in coordinating deliverables (work allocation, checking, mentoring of junior designers/drafters) as needed.
• Delivers results under difficult circumstances in line with vision and mission.
• Thrive on global collaboration and enjoy networking.
• Has a desire to work within a multicultural team and collaborative environment.
• Has a minimum of 7 years of experience, which includes exposure to multiple technology areas such as hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, and refinery.
• Possess strong written and verbal fluency in English.
• Has excellent communication skills.

Your new team

You will be a part of established drafting setup with teams located in Chennai and Delhi. You will work closely with Process Engineering colleagues based in Denmark and India, supporting global project execution.
