    Senior Proposal Engineer

    Process Engineer with strong aspirations to pursue challenges in technology proposal and studies.

    We are looking for a process engineer who can lead and execute proposal and studies and work in close collaboration with leading technology experts for delivering winning solutions to our customers in the hydrogen/ammonia segment of our chemical technologies. The selected candidate will join the proposal and studies team in Chennai, India.

     

    To be successful in the job, you bring a sound knowledge of the chemical technologies and business processes along with good track record of executing projects, proposal and studies. The applicant should have personal drive, energy and a self-motivated character since this is a key element to the success in the role. With the experience you bring to the table you are able to challenge our design and make sure that we are always offering the optimal solution. 

     

    Responsibilities: 
    • Develop winning solutions in collaboration with the sales team by creating optimal solutions and executing proposal concepts based on client information. 
    • Review RFQs/ITBs to provide strategic inputs for proposal layout. 
    • Manage technical proposals and revamp studies, including heat and mass balances and basic equipment design. 
    • Coordinate cross-functional issues with other engineering disciplines such as mechanical, cost estimation, vendors, and contractors throughout various proposal stages. 
    • Collaborate with the licensing manager to obtain inputs for commercial quotes. 
    • Engage in technical and commercial clarifications, addresses client questions and comments, and updates proposal documentation. Facilitates knowledge-sharing and incorporates lessons learned.  
    • Contribute to workflow optimization and automation. 


     What you’ll bring 
    The candidate should possess following competencies: 
    • Experience from operation, start-up or technical services of these units is a requirement. 
    • Experience in developing process flow diagrams for hydrogen/ammonia technologies is preferred.  
    • Candidate must have good interpersonal and communication skills, with good commercial and fiscal awareness. 
    • Actively engage in continuous development to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. 
    • Ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple external and internal stakeholders. • Strong collaboration and networking skills 
    • Ensures accountability 
    • Working with Licensor and having experience to prepare Basic Engineering Package will be an added advantage. 

     

    Qualifications/Skills 
    • B.Tech./ M.Tech in chemical engineering with 10 - 15 years of experience as process engineer/R&D/ technical services in either of Hydrogen/Ammonia technologies. 
    • Knowledge of Engineering softwares, IT tools and programming (Python, VBA) will be an advantage.
