    Principal Technical Service Engineer with strong aspirations to pursue challenges in technical sales & services in Chemicals area

    About the role
    We are looking for an experienced and customer-oriented Principal Technical Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support to customers in the chemicals industry, with a particular focus on ammonia, methanol, and hydrogen plants.

    You will be responsible for technical evaluations, technical quotation preparation, plant performance assessments, and customer support during catalyst loading, start-up, troubleshooting, and normal operations. In addition, you will work closely with commercial teams to identify opportunities for catalyst, proprietary hardware, and revamp solutions that create value for customers and support business growth.
    This is a highly visible role requiring deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trusted long-term relationships with customers across different cultures and markets.

    Key responsibilities
    •    Perform catalyst calculations and prepare technical quotations for catalysts
    •    Conduct plant and catalyst performance evaluations for chemicals plants, especially within ammonia, methanol, and hydrogen
    •    Provide technical support for catalyst loading, plant start-up, troubleshooting, and routine plant operations
    •    Partner with Account Managers to identify and develop new business opportunities related to catalysts, proprietary hardware, plant revamps, technical service offerings
    •    Deliver technical presentations and customer training programs
    •    Visit customer sites to present and promote catalyst, hardware, and revamp solutions
    •    Maintain and update customer-related technical and commercial databases
    •    Build and sustain strong customer relationships through responsive, high-quality technical support

    Qualifications and experience
    •    Bachelor’s or higher degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university or institute
    •    Solid knowledge of chemical process technologies and catalysts
    •    Proven experience in the chemical industry, with exposure to ammonia, methanol, and hydrogen plants
    •    Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience in areas such as technical service, plant operations and plant design
    •    Demonstrated ability to support customers with technical problem-solving and performance improvement initiatives
    •    Experience in customer-facing technical support or technical sales support roles
    •    Strong understanding of catalyst applications and plant performance optimization
    •    Willingness to travel for customer visits, site support, and technical discussions
