    Senior Lead Buyer

    The role and impact

     

    The role of Senior Lead Buyer is to support FEED and Project Execution for commercial projects for EPCM Project Procurement segment.

     

    The Senior Lead Buyer for the EPCM segment shall be responsible for handling project procurement activities for fabrication, mechanical, E&I and other equipment's for related FEED/Projects. Senior Lead Buyer will collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels and engage with the SEA suppliers at all levels, including the Category Managers. 

     

    Main Accountabilities:

     

    • Responsible for project procurement activities for EPCM Project Procurement and accompanying sourcing strategies; contract negotiation and -execution for all purchases within functions.
    • Identifies and drives sourcing initiatives – ensuring results on tangibles, total cost perspectives and risk avoidance including applicable contingency and supplier performance plans
    • Evaluates the business relevance and priority of savings initiatives
    • Work closely and supports other Category Managers in SEA region and global in supplier relationships and identifying new suppliers.
    • Leading commercial and contractual negotiations for equipment's and packages to achieve project and corporate goals.
    • Conduct market research, cost analysis and bid evaluations to secure competitive pricing and identify risks and opportunities.

     

    Tasks and deliveries:

    • Drives, leads, implements and controls project procurement activities and results in dedicated FEED/projects at a local, regional and global level to meet or exceed requirements regarding cost, time, and quality (incl. risks), innovation.
    • Lead and collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation EPCM function and understand their needs and deliver value.
    • Preparation and management of tender documents, such as RFQs and RFPs.
    • Manage purchase orders and contracts ensure they are processed accurately and efficiently.
    • Ensure compliance with Topsoe procedures and legal regulations throughout the procurement process.
    • Manage relationships with EPCM suppliers ensuring quality, reliability and access to market intelligence.
    • Lead, support, establish and implement procurement strategies for respective FEED/Projects.
    • Lead, establish, update and maintain procurement plan for respective FEED/Projects.
    • To lead negotiations with suppliers for equipment's/packages.
    • To provide procurement cost summary and commercial bid evaluations. 
    • To lead and drive global cost competitive supplier sourcing projects ensuring a global supply base
    • To lead, drive and negotiate strategic and partnership agreement within own categories
    • Strong collaboration with category managers to ensure use of qualified and potential suppliers in project execution
    • Environment, and business integrity - all according to implemented Topsoe standards
    • Working with different stakeholders on all levels as well as global suppliers,
    • Hold presentation meetings with management and key stakeholders.

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

     

    • Bachelor (Business; Supply Chain Management), or similar theoretical level or experience.
    • Proven experience working on SAP and managing supplier relationships.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work globally with colleagues at all levels. 
    • A proactive mindset and a passion for delivering results.
    • Strong and depth knowledge on EPCM and project procurement
    • Excellence in commercial/contractual understanding
    • 8+ years project procurement experience from a regional / international organization in relevant function
    • Strong with managing different stakeholders on all levels as well as global suppliers
