    Deep dive into reformer assessment and optimization

    The world has gone digital, but all your learning doesn't have to do the same. The Topsoe AcademyTM workshop is an opportunity to learn in a traditional classroom setting. 

    The workshop will have a high level of interaction due to the variation of client specific technical and operational issues, through group sessions, and discussions. 

    Topsoe's technical experts will facilitate a 2-day Steam Reformer workshop giving all client users, who have completed the on-demand Steam Reformer Assessment and Steam Reformer Optimization courses and passed the certification exams an opportunity to attend. The workshop includes a reformer walk-through (in teams of 4 users) a classroom session, and a visual inspection of the Topsoe reformers. 

    The duration of the course is 2 days of 8 hours each incl. breaks.

    Prerequisities

    You must have completed the On-demand Steam Reformer Assessment and the On-demand Steam Reformer Optimization courses and passed the certification exams. 

    # of Class Participants: Up to 10 participants. Additional participants can attend for an additional fee. 

    Location

    The workshop will take place on the premises, at customers's location. 

    Other

    Customer specific technical and operational issues must be forwarded to Topsoe with a minimum of one month in advanced of the workshop taking place. 

    The program for the Steam Reformer workshop

    Classroom

    • Open session aligning expectations and questions regarding reformer assessment. 

    • Presentation of reformer data collected regularly from buyer.

    • Review and discussion of reformer assessment templates and methods used at the plant. 

    • Clarification and deep dive into some selected activities. 

    On site

    • A reformer walk-through covering the main steps in a reformer assessment. 

    • Visual inspection of internal and external (pressure gauges, casing, burner operation, flame pattern, tube appearance etc.).

    • TWT measurements - practical exercise.

    • Burner operation.

    • Flue gas analyzer.
