    Student Assistant to Public Affairs

    The role and impact

    We are looking for a new student assistant to support our Public Affairs team in EMEA. You will have a variety of tasks, and some of the most important ones are:

    • Support the team with preparation of briefings, drafting of policy papers, helping with policy campaigns, and presentations. 
    • Assisting with high-level incoming visit to Topsoe and assist with Topsoe´s presence at external events like COP, Folkemødet or in business delegations.
    • Coordinating across various departments to strengthen Public Affairs outputs.
    • Supporting our Head of EMEA Public Affairs with a set of administrative tasks such as travel expenses and gathering of board materials.  

    What you’ll bring

    We expect that you are passionate about society, politics and want to contribute to the energy transition, and that you can tick off the following:

    • Curious about science and technology and would like to know about the latest advancements in the energy sector.
    • Interested in public affairs and would like to learn more about policymaking, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement from a company perspective.
    • Flexible and structured with the adaptability to handle various levels of tasks efficiently.
    • Proactive and self-driven by showing independence in managing tasks and projects, while also being a team player.
    • You hold a bachelor’s degree in political science, economy, law, business, communication, or equivalent competent studies and ideally are in your 3rd or 4th year of your studies.

    Previous relevant work experience within a Danish Ministry, NGO, think tank or regional/international organization is an advantage. 

    We expect that you are fluent in Danish and English, both orally and in writing, and that you can work 15-20 hours per week, on average, at our headquarters in Lyngby.

    At Topsoe, you will be part of a dynamic, highly efficient, and professional Public Affairs team where your input and work will be valued, your creativity encouraged, and where your insights into - and competences within - Public Affairs Management will grow. In our team, your support on a variety of tasks will be central to the everyday functioning of the Public Affairs team. The EMEA Public Affairs and Public Private Partnerships team consists of six people (two in Brussels) with mixed nationalities, and we are part of a larger PA team (colleagues in the US) why the working language is English.
