Senior Technical Sales & Service Engineer

The role and impact

The TS&SE is an independent contributor, acting within an established quality control system. Upon reaching the status of reviewer, act focusing on growing competence of less senior colleagues. Applies subject matter knowledge to solve tasks directly linked to the multiple execution field. Actively collaborate with customers at various settings. Contribute to development of tasks linked to business requirements. Often lead stand along tasks along with Solution Specialist, Business Development Managers, or PLMs. Commit to continuous technical development plan established by Manager.

What you’ll bring

-        Collaborating with all members of the technical service and account management teams to create winning catalyst proposals based upon the needs of customers from RFQs/ITBs.

-        Participate in technical & commercial clarifications and address customers’ questions and comments.

-        Perform evaluations based on operating data received from customers

-        Perform assigned on-site activities, including gas sampling and catalyst loadings, while wearing proper personal protective equipment.

-        Prepare technical reports following the completion of gas analyses, loadings, and performance guarantee test runs.

-        Act proactively in pre-sales activities led by Account managers, such as customer visits, customer workshops, or training.

-        Contribute to knowledge sharing across the global organization.

Required Technical/functional Competencies

-        You have a degree in Chemical Engineering and some years of process design or operational experience.

-        Previous experience in the sulfuric acid industry is a great advantage.

-        Technical understanding within catalysis and kinetics, equilibrium & thermodynamics.

-        Travel to customer sites will be required.  The majority of the sites are in Asia Pacific, Oceania, and India. Most of the travels are expected to last 1 week or less.  Some of the sites may be in remote locations.

-        Must be able to travel with several pieces of luggage, including gas analyzers and sampling equipment

-        Must be able to take gas samples as well as climb ladders in a plant environment while wearing proper personal proctective equipment.

-        Thrive on global collaboration and enjoy meeting customers.

-        Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
