    We design, engineer and license a broad range of processes for chemical processing, hydroprocessing and emissions management.

    Hydroprocessing

    Catalyst Poison Removal The single most important factor for hydroprocessing unit profitability is the length of time your catalyst remains active. No matter how high a catalyst’s start-of-run activity is, if it deactivates more rapidly than expected, your unit performance will suffer and profits will drop.
    Hydrocracking Today, refineries have to produce more high-quality transportation fuels from heavier streams, while also improving profit margins.     Hydrotreating Refineries around the world are striving to meet growing demands for cleaner fuels, while ensuring cost-efficient operations. Getting the greatest value out of crude oil and effectively processing all the fractions – from very light gas and naphtha to residue – can be challenging.
    Lube Oil Processing In lube oil processing, a final hydrofinishing step is required to improve the product’s physicochemical properties and ensure that color and stability specifications are met.

    Air emission control

    Catalytic Particulate Filtration In certain industries dust, soot and other particulates in off-gases are a problem that need special consideration. We enable our customers to combine particulate filtration with our other emission management systems, where the combination can reduce complexity and total cost of ownership.
    Nitrous Oxide Removal Nitrous oxide - N2O - is a powerful greenhouse gas with a global warming potential of 298 CO2 equivalents.Topsoe catalysts for N2O decomposition enable you to achieve abatement costs that are significantly lower than normal CO2 prices, while keeping any practical impact on your production process to a bare minimum.
    NOx and CO Removal Meeting emission standards without compromising performance or profitability is a challenge facing many industries. For stationary applications our solutions are highly effective, offering reduction efficiencies up to 99% with maximum reliability, even when operating under severe conditions.
    Off-Gas Processing Off-gases formed at refineries often contain components such as diolefins, olefins, CO2, CO, hydrocarbons, H2S, and various organic sulfur species – all of which are harmful to the environment and subject to increasingly stricter regulations.
    Sulfur Removal Sulfurous emissions standards are tightening worldwide, forcing industrial, chemical, refining, and metallurgical operations to compromise profitability to meet legal requirements. Sometimes a crystal-ball approach is needed when dealing with sulfurous emissions. Planning requires forward-thinking that takes both compliance and profitability into consideration.
    VOC Removal Emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are now regulated almost everywhere. And legislation is only going to get more stringent. The question is how easily and affordably you can keep your operations compliant, with a reliable “license to operate”.
