Hydrocracking | Flexible operation

Maximizing the heavy naphtha yield from a hydrocracker is advantageous compared to a fluid catalytic cracker (FCC), as light cycle oil (LCO) production is avoided and full conversion can be obtained. Hydrocracking is therefore today the preferred conversion technology for the modern refinery with lower overall investment and operating costs.

A profound understanding of catalyst kinetics and hydrocracking processes enables Topsoe to provide hydrocracking units that meet any market need – whether the requirement is maximum heavy naphtha yield, flexible production of high-quality naphtha and diesel or customized seasonal variations in gasoline/diesel production ratio.
