About LEARN'24

LEARN'24 is Topsoe's annual training event for technical staff at hydrogen, methanol, and ammonia plants. Built around the module-based training structure of Topsoe AcademyTM.

LEARN'24 will take you into the classroom and give you in-depth knowledge on how to trim and operate your plant, making it possible to run more safely, increase your production, and avoid unexpected shutdowns. 

Who should attend

This training event is designed for younger engineers and operators working within the hydrogen, methanol, or ammonia industries. Although the target group is primarily younger engineers, engineers with more experience can also benefit from this event and get their knowledge updated. 

The training will consist of group sessions, discussions, presentations, and a high level of interaction ensuring optimum learning. 

The training will focus mainly on the common denominators in hydrogen, ammonia and methanol plants, and go into details with some aspects so your specific technology will be in focus. 

In order to ensure high-quality training, we only have 40 seats and enrollment will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Schedule

Day 1: Steam Reformer Assessment
Our Steam Reformer Assessment course will teach you how to perform "health checks" on your steam reformer and use the results to trim the performance of this critical plant component.

Day 2 & 3: Catalyst Theory & Operation
Assessing and optimizing your plant can lead to longer catalyst lifetimes and higher production rates. Our Plant Assessment course will teach you how to do this safely and effectively. The main focus will be reactors present in Hydrogen and Ammonia plants.

Day 4: Catalyst Loading & Reduction
Proper understanding of the procedures and safety precautions required in catalyst loading and reduction can save valuable time and maximize catalyst performance. Our Loading & Reduction course will make sure you are prepared for your next catalyst replacement.

At the end of day 4, it is possible to take an exam to prove you have a good understanding of the topic. If you pass the exam, you will receive 'Certified by Topsoe' diploma of accomplishment. 

Day 5: Meet-the-Experts and a tour of our R&D facilities

On the fifth day, you will be able to join a tour of Topsoe's state-of-the-art R&D facilities. And during that afternoon, we will give you the opportunity to meet up with some of our experts with decades of experience within technical services and plant design, experts who on a daily basis help solve operational problems for plants around the world. You will be able to discuss the issues that your plant is dealing with on a one-to -one basis and get some input and ideas to how you can improve your plant's operation.

Hotel accommodation 

The training course is held at Scandic Copenhagen Hotel, which is located centrally in Copenhagen. If you wish to stay at this hotel, Topsoe has secured rooms here at a fixed rate per night for the nights of June 16 to June 20, 2024:

  • Double room for single use: DKK 1,475 (EUR 200) per day, including breakfast

Guarantee
In connection with the hotel booking, to guarantee your reservation, you will be asked to provide your credit card details. Your credit card will not be charged prior to your arrival and will only be used to guarantee your accommodation. you will need to present the same credit card when you check in. Please note that if you do not show up at the hotel on the day of arrival, a cancellation fee equivalent to the full pre-booked stay will apply

Registration Cancellation
The health and safety of participants and staff members remain our top priority. Topsoe therefore reserves the right to cancel the seminar in the event that international restrictions or circumstances will impact the seminar. 

All cancellation notifications should be emailed to topsoeacademy@topsoe.com 

A cancellation / no show fee of €150.00 will be charged for all registrations cancelled 30 working days or less before the event. Cancellations made after this date will be subject to the cancellation / no show fee.

Hotel cancellations do not form part of Topsoe's responsibility and will apply as per the individual hotel T&C's available on the accommodation booking page of the registration site. 

Notification of cancellation will be sent no later than 17 May 2024.

Payment Method

Registration fee is EUR 4,000 per participant. 
The registration fee includes training material, daily lunches and coffee breaks. Travelling and Lodging expenses are not included.
