Steam reformer optimization - Side-fired tubular SMR
Description:
Improving the performance of the steam reformer requires proper assessment, but you also need to know how to specifically optimize the performance. This learning path teaches you how to optimize and trim the operation of a side-fired SMR to ensure you get the most out of your reformer.
Condensing TOPSOE™’s vast experience in steam reformer design and operation into concise, to-the-point learnings, this learning path will give you the theoretical understanding and practical skills you need to keep your steam reformer meeting performance targets, including guidelines on how to trim a side-fired steam reformer.
Content:
This learning path awards a certificate once completed and consists of 5 courses, each of which will focus on different aspects of how to optimize the operation of a side-fired tubular reformer:
- Reformer parameters and constraints
- Flue gas
- General burner adjustment
- Horizontal and vertical firing adjustments
- Reformer optimization in practice
Each course consists of 4-7 lessons and a summary exam. Expected time to complete is approximately 45 minutes per course.
